The highest mountain in the world located. Mt. Everest is the highest peak in the Himalaya mountain range. It is located between Nepal and Tibet. At 8,848 meters (29,035 feet), it is considered the tallest point on Earth. In the 19th century, the mountain was named after George Everest, a former Surveyor General of India. The Nepali name is Sagarmatha.

The first people to climb Everest were Edmund Hillary (New Zealand) and Tenzing Norgay. They climbed the mountain in 1953 and hold the record together. Mount Everest is located in Solukhumbu. Different people of different castes live here but sherpas people live the most here. “Sherpa” is often used to mean, mountain guide. Sherpa has the most experience in mountain climbing, which they help to other climbers. Traditionally, they are engaged in trading, herding, and farming mostly. This is because of their typical lifestyle and high altitude of life. Oxygen level is low too in Solukhumbu.

Climbing Mount Everest has become a great hobby for foreigners nowadays. Not only that, but it has also helped in increasing the economy of the country. A large number of tourists visit Mt Everest every day for climbing. They have to wait for their turn for climbing. There have been more “traffic jams” as climbers spend too much time in the death zone waiting for their chance to go to the Everest. As the number of climbers has increased, there has also increased pollution near the summit. Moreover, the Sherpa people have been exploited by, and their traditional way of life has been disrupted by foreign climbers.
Although there is a lot of risk in climbing Sherpa guides has to face that for the employment, for a comparatively little fee. That is really a pity for them. Most disturbingly, many people who climb and die there, their bodies are impossible to be found
